I've always been a writer

Almost as soon as I was able to pick up a pencil I was crafting things with words. Whether it was stories, or things to amuse my family and friends I was never happier than when I was writing.

I had my first magazine article published when I was 14. In my early 20s, I started writing professionally for magazines and newspapers in the UK and beyond.

I wrote about almost every subject under the sun. I turned out work on travel, education, religious affairs, finance, the environment, history, psychology and many more subjects besides.

I now work principally as a freelance copy and content writer for business, social enterprises, the voluntary sector and with agencies. Over time I've built up an extensive portfolio of work for a varied client base across different industries and commercial sectors.

As well as extensive practical experience I also have an MA in Creative Writing (Distinction) from York St John University. I'm currently working on a PhD project at Falmouth University exploring autistic characterisation in crime fiction though research and creative practice.

I really enjoy helping people bring their visions to life and telling the stories that help them get noticed.
